Presently, Pypi dependencies are pulled in with lftools requires us to pin packages to versions every time something is broken. And fixing these issue does not guarantee that they would not crop up again in the near future.

pipenv [1.] may be a better way to handle these dependencies in a more deterministic way and all dependent package versions can be locked in a pipfile.lock file. It would be good to investigate if this is a viable solution for moving forward.
