Description
Ubuntu 22 agents are not successfully booting/connecting. I've successfully run a job on one of these agents already, so it shouldn't be a problem with the image.
While troubleshooting this problem in AWS, I found 40+ instances (old Jenkins agents) still running. These appear to be mostly/entirely CentOS. Cleanup is still in progress.
All instances have been cleaned up. It looks like except one packer builder from 4/6, all of the zombie instances were from Tuesday 4/13. All instances launched today have self-terminated properly, so this may not be an issue anymore. However, since we don't receive any notification that these instances are staying alive, and there's not hint of it in Jenkins, this should be followed up on.
Ubuntu 22 agent also booted up after a few tries. This is also something we should keep an eye on, since even though it worked eventually, if it's going through a few failed attempts every time one of these machines boots, there may be something that needs to be fixed or improved.
