            1) package mirrors:

            • centos7, epel7, openstack-queens, kubernetes and docker (yum7)
            • centos8, epel8 (yum8)
            • rhel7 (yum7)
            • rhel82 (yum8)
            • rhel84 (yum8)
            • ubuntu for 18.04 and 20.04 (apt)

            2) pypi mirrors - python packages

            3) dockerhub mirror and some statically downloaded https://github.com/tungstenfabric/tf-devstack/blob/master/common/thirdparty_images.list

            link to mirros configs https://github.com/tungstenfabric/tf-jenkins/tree/master/setup/playbooks/roles/mirrors/files

mirrors don't have public DNS name.

Where are these mirrors being hosted?
Can you give us a use case?

            Thanks,
            Vanessa

mirrros are hosted on separate VM (tf-mirrors in vexxhost list)

            use cases

            • build, deploy and check TF in a stable environment - previously we had issues each week when new packages came from upstream
            • minimize traffic during cheks
            • increase spead due to close packages
            • having list of packages which were vaildated with release
            • avoid dockerhub limit (only 100 pulls per month as I remember)
            • avoid missing package in upstream when it's removed by some reason in upstream

and some other reasons/aspects when people builds own close infra
