This is an exploratory Jira and more specific Jiras should be created once the investigation is complete to track doing the actual implementation.

The Zowe project is looking to using Jenkins Pipelines which we have not supported before. Particularly the "Multibranch Pipeline" project type. JJB has some level of support as documented here:

We need to investigate and figure out what level of support JJB has for multi-branch pipeline. Identify if any configuration sections are not configurable via JJB.

Once identified we should create Jiras to add support for any missing configuration steps.

The Zowe project uses Jenkins Pipelines today in their project repos https://github.com/zowe so would be good to check and make sure whatever they are utilizing can be supported in our CI environment using JJB.

If it makes sense to do so, see if we can / should design a global-jjb job template for the multi-branch pipeline configuration.
