OPNFV is currently using an INFO file for information related to projects
FD.io (as least the dpdk sub-project) is using a MAINTAINERS file similar to, though not exactly the same as the Linux kernel's MAINTAINERS file format
We need to come up with a good and easy to use file format that is easy to automate around that we can use for all of our projects. Part of the issue is that ONAP is now talking about adding in INFO type files as well so we need to figure this out so we can start doing better automation for the projects, including wiki inclusion and use in Jenkins jobs.
I would suggest a YAML file, but I'm also aware that FD.io has a Gerrit plugin that is consuming the MAINTAINERS file for automation so evaluating that format as a base may be a good as well since there are automation tools consuming it and the Linux MAINTAINERS format already.
