As evidenced in https://logs.opendaylight.org/releng/vex-yul-odl-jenkins-1/mdsal-maven-merge-oxygen/19/console.log.gz, 'lftools deploy  nexus' fails to propagate errors reported from nexus

This leads to merge jobs which are reported as successful, but since the deployment failed, we have inconsistent nexus contents without any reasonable feedback.

The job needs report failure in case any issues at all are encountered while transferring artifacts so that we have a clear indication that an action needs to occur – like an automatic re-trigger.
