We have been seeing a lot of "stack smashing" problems with the unit tests recently.  I have an open RT issues to include core dumps in the artifacts of unit tests:

I have modified the builders' sysctl to encode useful information in to the name of the core dump file, but the changes do not seem to be taking effect:
